I've got a wonderful old Denon DCD 1560 cd player (circa 1986) that has no problems other than a sticky tray. It's hooked up to a Sony GA7ES A/V reciever (circa 1997) and my television is a 4 year old basic 32" Sony Vega with a Samsung DVD 511 dvd player which is also a few years old. My speaker system is nothing esoteric - a front pair of JBL L-65's and a rear pair of cheap Advents from the early 90's. Is the Denon DVD 2910 universal disc player enough of an improvement over both the Samsung DVD player and the Denon DCD 1560 cd player to consider retiring both these units? The DCD 1560 was a very highly regarded player in its day and I've enjoyed it immensely but if there was a noticeable improvement in audio with the DVD 2910 I'd seriously consider consolodating my audio and video into one box...
