Question that isn't too complicated I hope: We are looking at picking up a new flatscreen TV, but currently live in Europe. We already have a multisystem regular tv that we plan on replacing. We often watch US (read NTSC) DVDs through a United States DVD player and US VHS tapes through a multisystem VCR. If we were to buy a PAL TV for our new flat screen (since it is much easier to buy than going to a military base to buy a multisystem flatscreen) would we still be able to watch American DVDs and VHSs on it since the devices we use to read those (the DVD player and the VHS player) are already NTSC and (in the case of the VHS player) multisystem? Thanks.
The VCR and DVD will work if they output PAL, if not they won't.

Hi! Usually you can get a multisystem tv also in Europe. You have to ask at your store for a multisystem TV.Some manufacturers offer dvd players with capabilities to switch the "out signal - line out" between pal and ntsc and there are vcr that can playback ntsc tapes on regular pal tv's.You will have to pay attention that the dvd player to be region free in order to be able to playback dvd's zone/region 1 (USA,ntsc) and also other zones/regions (EUROPE is region 2, PAL)
