Just bought this. It's a DVD Recorder with 80gig HD. So since all my 100 odd Laserdiscs are starting to suffer from the dreaded Laserdisc rot i want to convert them to DVD. I'm in Australia so it is a PAL DVD Recorder and the LD is NTSC. However I have done this on another DVD Recorder from LG with NTSC VHS and it's worked fine but though the picture is good it finishes about 9/10ths. from the bottom with a large, thick black and white checkered strip followed by what looks like the top of the screen again. anyone got any ideas.
Hi I think i have the same problem as well. I tried to copy my dv tape into dvd using my camcorder which is in ntsc format but it shows the thick black and white followed by what looks like the top as well. have you solved this? If so could you kindly show me how to get rid of the line?
I also tried using the dv-input but it simply showed a black screen...
