I recently purchased a 32" LCD HDTV with 720p/1080i. I hooked it up to my JVC progressive scan DVD player through high-quality component video cables. When I play a DVD that suddenly shows flashes of bright lights that come across the TV screen (as part of the movie), the TV loses the connection. The TV goes black and flashes, "No Signal". When the bright lights in the scene go away, the signal is discovered again. The manufacturer of the TV informs me that the DVD player is not compatible with the TV. Does this sound right? Is there a fix for this? They also mentioned adjusting the resolution of the DVD player to match the TV, but, alas, I can't adjust the resolution on my DVD player. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!
