I've got +30" Sanyo CRT tv (not sure on the size, got it from a relative). There is a large component on the board that is arcing badly when i turn the power on, then internal breaker trips. It connects to the tube. This picture shows what i'm after.
I should probably say, that i would like to know what this part is called... We never went over television in my electronics schooling.

RE. "Arcing on old TV sanyo " That's The flyback transformer,its a high that's goes to the picture tube. In some tv you can see the part number on the side of the transformer if you pull it out from the circuit board.If you disconnect the black wire that goes in the picture tube don't hold the bare wire with your hand because there's a high voltage stored in it.
