I ordered my TV and it will a be a few weeks before I see it. I have Direct TV and will be changing over to HD. Is all I have to do is call DTV and have them reprogram the card for the HD service through the DVR, plug it into the TH-42PX50U and be done? They do this through the phone line on the DVR and I'm sure there is no hook-up on the back of the TV for this type of thing. Is it as simple as this or will I need a new Direct TV HD receiver. I do understand my Tivo will not work with this now HD set-up.

No, you'll need to buy a Direct TV HD receiver (unless the one you have already is an HD receiver). Just call to activate a new receiver after you buy one, and tell them it replaces the old. If you still want TIVO, you'll need to buy an HD TIVO receiver, and that will set you back some real bucks. You old TIVO will not work for HDTV. You might get a better deal on the DirectV website, try to see if they have any upgrade specials on this stuff.
