Is there a standard for what the dotted QAM channels (ex: 107.104) relates to on a cable box?
I have Optonline basic service in NJ and just got a Philips 30" HDTV that has a built in QAM tuner. It receives the local network HDTV channels. I am trying to cross reference the cable channel guide to QAM channel and figure out which are the true HD ones. For example when using the digital tuner there are two NBC channels but only one is broadcasting in HD. Not sure what the other one is .
The other thing I have noticed is that channel information is missing or incorrect. The date and time shows sometimes but it not correct and the rating or program name do not show at all. Is this because the broadcaster are not feeding that information yet or is Optonline filtering for the QAM receiver?
