Its not huge, but, I want to see if anybody has some wisdom for me, maybe it can be solved. I have a Toshiba TN43V71, and , with its manual convergence, I am able to get a decent picture with some finangling. Anyway, recently I noticed a small, pink/red translucent blotch near the top left corner of the screen. I have played with the standard menu items to no avail. I know how to get into the sevice menus, but, I wont try and wangle with that until I get a service manual. Anyway, anybody have any ideas how to get rid of that spot that is really only noticable when a light background is shown on the TV?
I got a couple other things I am tackling with my TV
1) I am unable to watch a DVD on my TV through the component video connection with progressive scan turned on, but, I can watch it with progressive scan through the composite connection (the RCA video)...is this wierd?
2) I have noticed slight blurriness on the right side of the screen...the convergence (which is done manually through a standard menu) seems ok, I a have adjusted that. I have discovered how to get into the service menus...can I adjust the focus through there or??
