My fraternity house is looking to buy a new TV as our last one is on its last leg. What TV would you experts recommend for a room with a lot of windows and for longevity. This TV is on ALOT.

I'm going to recommend a 56 inch Samsung DLP. Should JUST fit your budget with Tax (retails around 2799). If it's over go for the 50.

It's JVC's LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) three chip design.

If you have another month to nurse that one along, JVC's 1080p sets will be out, and you should be able to get any of the 720p models at a huge discount all the way up to the 70 inch model!

Sorry to inform people that you do not want a projection in a place with alot of windows. Your best TV to go with on longevity performance.
Go with the KDLV32XBR1. 2,699.99 plus tax.

Ummmmm,

The JVC D-ILA sets are extremely bright... Perfect for those with alot of windows.

Perfect set if you like watching football, sports....

PS: For those serious about buying.. get one of the new DesignerPro Series D-ILA's.. they have a 3 step iris to improve black levels.
