i noticed crutchfield no longer sales them

sears only the 52"

Sears has only sold the 52" for months. Nothing new there.

At Crutchfield's prices (just about full MSRP!!) I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole -- free shipping or no free shipping.

Walmart also sells Panasonic Plasma's and LCD's. Does that mean that Panny is also going to the dogs?

Best Buy has been selling a ton of JVC's nationwide and will continue to do so. Ditto the wholesale clubs as well as upscale video retailers. There are also countless other online eTailers who will be doing likewise.

Sorry, but I just don't see the point of your post.
