Some time ago I added digital cable to my analog tv service. Signal strength was a little low on the analogue (some snow) so the tech added an inline amplifier.
Some time after that, some of the analogue stations would sometimes lose signal ie total snow and hissing sound. This happens intermittently. I can be watching the analogue channel and it suddenly loses the signal. This only happens on some channels.
The cable company suggests it's a problem with the tv tuner. I'm not sure about this. I figure if a tuner is bad, it's bad all the time. Could the problem be related to the inline amplifier? Too strong a boost?
