Before I buy a new light engine, can anyone here verify that I do indeed need it? Here are my Samsungs (HLN5065W) symptoms which started a few weeks back:

When watching, the picture would stall for a few seconds and then come back

Lately, the screen would go completely black after only a few minutes of watching. This happens when watching DVD's as well.

The Color wheel is noisy and intermittent.

It takes at least 30 seconds for the picture to come up upon turning on the set.

Since when did you feel you were qualified to diagnose DLP televisions?

Since when did you start trusting BB for service.

1-800-SAMSUNG

Prompts 2 then 1 then 3 then 1.

Thats your former Texas Instrument employee giving you empathetic advice. BTW TI designed that crap they call DMD that requires that dumb color engine idea.

I work for no one and can tell you you are screwed. That you can take to the bank.

Sounds like a lamp and a color wheel is all you need.
Both are easy to replace.

You don't actually think you can make someone believe that the life of a product or service is equal to the warranty, do you? I got a 90 day warranty on my car repair. I'm confident that the parts and service will last well beyond 90 days. Who are you kidding?
