Currently I have the old version of DVR I send cable from the wall to the DVR to the DVDR to the TV. The New DVR I'm about to get (so I can watch and record different channels)has a cable input, but no cable output. The output must be RCA.
I attempted a trial run with the old DVR. I unhooked the cable out from the DVR and the Cable in from the DVDR and hooked up RCA's from the DVR out to the DVDR and it didn't work. I still have cable going out from the DVDR, but nothing in (that could be the issue).
Now I have RCA's going from the DVR to the DVD to the VCR to the TV. It's a mess, I don't know what to do.
I'd appreciate any help. Surely someone else is doing this.

Did you ever get this to work. Having the same problem. I cannot get a signal from comcast box to DVDR box to TV.

comcast got rid of that motorola box that had no coax output, my new one has an hdmi output and a coax output. call them and tell them you want a new box.
