I just bought the 50" LG. Good TV, but I'm trying to get the cable card instead of the box. When i put the CC in, the TV recognizes it but that is all that happens. I get 1 channel and that is with or without the CC. I've had 3 techies come out and can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

If anyone has any experience with the 50PX5D or has even seen one, please post your comments to this site. The specs on this TV "seem" great. It's high on my list, but would like to hear some real pros and cons before purchasing. Mike, please keep us all informed, as you get used to your new LG. Thanks.

I'm very pleased with my 50PX5D. I'm using the box instead of the cable card which isn't that big of deal for some reason it wouldn't hook up. Being a 50 inch, on some channels it isn't as clear as a it would be if it was a 42". HD looks fabulous. I haven't really spent the time to hook up my computer. Cool feature that it displays any memory card and that works very easily. I'm working on getting the PiP to work, I gotta find out which connection to use. There is sooooo much stuff that comes with this TV, you really gotta sit down with it if you plan to use every feature.

Brian, what TV did you have before this and how "isn't as clear" were the same channels on your previous set up? I will be upgrading from a 43" Mits rear proj, which I must watch at 480P. So I'm only getting EDTV. Some cable channels are not that great. I'm wondering if they will be worse or at least more or less the same on the LG. I am also very curious as to how your PC will look on the LG, as I have a PC as part of my H/T. If you use HDMI or DVI, let us know if any PIP is functional on those inputs. Often, there is a cross-reference table in the manual on PIP vs Inputs. Just keep posting your findings as your adventure progresses.
