I recently bought a Sony all in one DVD recorder and VCR. Model RDR-VX515. The intent was to convert all the home videos to DVD and a few select movies. The VHS movies however are copyrighted and it will not dubb them. Is there any way to get around this ? I understand that if I had a stand alone DVDR I could get a "filter" but this unit is all in one.
You could purchase a video stabilizer. Run video output of your unit into stabilizer and stabilizer output back into DVD recorder input. Use S-Video connections for best transfer.
Not for copying purposes as you will not be using the component connection. You will have to check your manual to determine if your unit will simultaneously output a component and S-Video signal.
