The clone thing dont really wash either with people that know. They have the same mainboard so whatever they release will be cloned anyway.. Just want people to buy newer recievers. I have a subscription and also have a working pansat 3500. So I really dont need the bin. I am not a dealer. I have been doing this stuff since dave h card days. Dont worry about bin for 2500a By that time charlie will prob shut down fta fixes by the time blacklist releases the bin anyway! Look the p0rn is gone for some people now. Oh well.. Thats ok I would rather wait for a real n2 fix not a workaround anyway... I just wish pansat was honest with its highest buying customers.. See we Been Screwed Unregistered guest | We will say this, we do not trust any of those factories, Fortec and Pansat, all run and owned by the same peoples, sharing and controlling the market. Today is the fix for the Ultra, no, maybe in three weeks, yes ? We visited Al7bar-soft1.com, checked if there was any new updates, no. We looked into the Technical Discsussion Forum. Keep in mind this is Fortec, only. There was BlackList, making a statement that there will be no release for the Ultra until the clone issue was fixed, 2 to 3 weeks. So, BL represents both, Fortec and Pansat, no fixes until the Pansat2700a generates more sales. This well may be a hoax, but it did cause me to reflect on how all of us are controlled and manipulated by the factories, one of the same. We recommend no further support of Fortec and Pansat and C00lsat. We recommend a pci card, all the software is free without kissing azz, however not for everyone. We recommend, a Dreambox, but not for everyone. We have reservations in regards to the ViewSat, but possibly the best substitute |

Similar to DVB cards but with greater flexibility, they offer open source coding to those so inclined, as well as Linux based operating system, and can be configured to do much more. Please be advised tho, they are not for your average Free Tv'er, and require alot of effort to setup and undersatnd. Glad to see us get an official sponsor for them tho.. If you need help ley me know. 3) I understand that the 21 switch for dish 500 does not work with FTA. Can someone confirm that both LNB's are fine (I'm pretty sure they are) as I wouldn;t want any equipment problems and thinking they are the software. |

I only hope he is wrong, but to date, his information has never been. Quote, "Thought it would be time for an update, it has been quite awhile but there was really nothing to report of any significance. There have been a ton of rumours swirling around lately, I will address them all today and dispel most of the rumours, scams and utter bullcrap that unscrupulous dealers are unleashing on the public. Do not buy anything at this point. 1) Rom101 Dishnet hack for their Nagra2 smartcards Yes it does work, but it won't for long. It is being sold by dsstoybox.com and is a complete waste of money for the 350C they want for it. It comes with no guarantees at all so this should tell you enough(I visited these clowns at the Pickering flea market and they were totally mis-leading, this makes my blood boil, i lost them a few sales as I challenged them with facts). There are three version of Dishnets new card ROM101, 102 and 103. Most of their cards are of the 102 and 103 variety, and they have not been hacked at all. Dishnet has already begun plugging the 101's holes by turning off p0rn last week; the rest of the channels will follow soon. There is no identical for Bell Express View as they never issued any 101 cards, just 102's and 103's. Both dishnet and Bell knew there was a flaw so these cards will disappear soon. 2) DTV P4 or P5 hack There is still no hack for these two cards regardless of the unsolicited emails you may receive or the constant rumours that persist. Another rumour surfaced last week, but in my opinion it was just a webmaster who wanted to drive more traffic to his website, which by the way worked for him. However there is no proof of any hack from them or my numerous contacts. Always email me for my opinion before you layout cash for anything of this nature. 3) Free-To-Air Nagra2 hack for dishnet As you are aware FTA(free-to-air) units became the rage after DTV went down as they opened up both Dishnet and Bell. In the past month both finished their card swaps from Nagra1 to Nagra2, so little or no channels are left to watch. Almost immediately after the card swap a few FTA manufacturers released bin files for their units that allowed nagra2 to be viewed. Wow the community said Nagra2 is hacked Hoooooray!!! WRONG! It is not hacked, this is just a dump of the 101 hack mentioned above, and these bins also lost the p0rn channels last week with more to follow in the future weeks. Once again they were only able to offer fixes for Dishnet and not Bell as they did not issue 101 cards. Overnight after this temporary hack, the price on C00lsat and Pansat units doubled. Many invested immediately....they will be disappointed in a few weeks. My advice at this point is wait a month and see how this all plays out. These FTA companies only care about pushing stock, being honest means nothing to them "WARNING" Use these latest Nagra2 FTA files at your own risk, many are killing FTA units and frying them for a number of reasons, your best to wait a month till these things are proven." |

PRFRMNJ Unregistered guest | Vibr8tor - If you are using dual LNB's the 21 switch wont work, but if you are using two dishes it will. I've set up in both fashion and depending on how you set up, it works. I do have one set up with the SW64 and that works just as well. The problem here where I've set these up is that we have to use two dishes (one for 119 and the other for 110), but I haven't had a problem with any switch as of yet. By the way, I loaded the Fortec Fix from dss*rookie and my ultra has been up and running for a couple of days. The manufacturing date on mine was Jan 05. Viva-La-FTA! |

Wasting Money - I read your post and thank you - yes there is always reason to speculate and wait to see what happens - but for the most part 150 dollars for a fta receiver is nothing and it lets me have ppv and alot of channels so for a few weeks its a good deal. With the above said - I have also seen a working fix for DTV and have been told that it is on its way in october once they can make it a little more less likely to go public - i dont know if it is a con or what but i sure hope it does surface as i miss my dtv. Now 102 and 103 - yes the 101 was not a secure card but they did crack it! And the 102 and 103 fills the holes but uses the same algorythym as i have read so it should be easier for fta - yes or no? sorry that was a question. The 101 card was thought to be secure by most people in the general satellite community. We heard for months that there would be no hack and that FTA receivers were surely no longer good for Dish. Well about a week ago a public fix came out and we are all up. Yes we have problems with all the bins (freezing, missing channels, receiver processors frying) but this I would say would be the norm when the inital hacks come out. You have to remember that N2 is in its infancy and all new hacks will be adhock and put together with duck tape. As the community learns more about the way 101/102/103 cards work the hacks will perform much better. There is no safe and no permanent hack - if you want that forget it and subscribe. I say that to try and stop the nay sayers and the rude people who write statement like: FTA is Dead, Never going to be hacked... and so on... Now with that said lets continue on and actually help people. Please lets create a list and a file repository of all the files that are useful for FTA. I have finally gotten up to speed but am still way behind most people so I am asking for everyones help here ok? No other issues to report tho re: Comedy Central etc. The main concern is PPV and it seems to be OK, atleast for now. I want to apologize to those I told that Dream Box files would be last. I now understand a little more about the Dream Box OS on Linux. 32 Mb wow. I was so convinced I went out and bought one for $500 Cdn. So again I'm sorry making those false accusations. How does the card/cardless options work. I have a lot to read up on with this dream machine but would appreciate some help. |

But if you are like me and want a little box in your AV rack then the Dream Box is great. Will you need 32MB - no but it's nice to have and you can add on to it! Now there are new files out there that have auto-roll and are now getting the adult channels - I have one file that needs testing for Digiwave/Multistars/Pansats/Fortecs/Blackbird etc - it doesnt claim to have adult but it does claim to fix some of the freezing and have auto roll - I also have a channel list to try - I can;t right now as I'm at work so anyone at home that can try it would be appreciated. |
