Posted on I have a Toshiba DVD/VCR combo (model SD-V393SU, if that helps). I bought it new in July of this year.
All of a sudden when I try to record television programs, it records the audio just fine, but no video.
At first the video would show during fast forwarding and be black during normal playback, but now its a black screen either way.
I would guess that the heads need to be cleaned, but it seems unusual to have this problem after only two months. Any ideas? |

Posted on Not if you're using cheap tapes or rental tapes. Clean 'er up and call me in the morning. |

Posted on Usually audio and no video means it needs cleaned. I saw one of those Toshiba combos a couple of months ago with the same problem, it wasn't cleaning. |
