I have a new house with ComCast cable. Several of our TVs have fairly faint ghosts on the screen. Is it likely that adding an amplifier ahead of the main splitter in the distribution box will eliminate the ghosts?
Thanks, Bill

Actually, it is my experience that ghosting is caused many times by over-amplification. You may actually need to pad the signal to prevent unwanted frequencies from displaying when you are on a particular channel.
Ghosts can appear as a result of overdriving or occasionally underdriving (weak signal) the tuner. I would try an attenuator before additional amplication as suggested by Anonymous.
