when I compared this set to the other larger sets in the same series like the 46, 50, 56 ect... I noticed that the 42" had a kind of hazyness to the screen and I didnt think much about it, I figured it was just a picture problem on that store model. Well mine showed up yesterday and the same look is on my screen also... It is definately not in the picture itself but it almost looks like it has one of those protective films on the screen that you are susposed to peel off. does anyone know what I am talking about and can I do anythnig about it?
Take it back..Save your money. Wait for SED later this year. You can thank me later.

He's never owned a DLP or an LCD. All he knows is what he reads. Less than a hundred come to forums with defects. The trouble-free ten's of thousands don't. This is his knowledge base, nothing more. Narrow view, narrow minded, idiotic nonsense blown out of proportion. Rudeness, misinformation, and sarcastic ridicule are his tools to discourage those seeking information for a DLP or LCD purchase. He heavily prefers CRT.
I equate his message to a snowy grainy projected CRT image. You can tell what the storyline is, but there's something horribly wrong with the whole picture.
