I work for an electronics retailer and we sell DTV. I'm about to start tailgating for this years football season. Have a DTV dish and box. If I get an activated dealer card out of the store for a day and let a programmer copy it, is there any way it can be traced back if its already activated?? any advice? dont know how all that works. thanks alot

There is no known way to the community to view DTV by any method except shared subscription.
If what your girlfriends dad's friend is doing what you claim he is doing. (And it actually works) Then he would have something that thousands of people have been waiting for.
Give it a try and report back to us.

Like I said, earlier I'm just starting to get into this stuff. He showed me a card he had done and i saw it work. and told me all i needed to do was give him 3 minutes with one of our dealer cards from work and i could be watching DTV in minutes. I'll look into how he does it and get back to you.

Hope your girlfriends Dad is trustworthy, your access card should be treated just like a credit card. I'm not going to tell you how, but once you know the name, address, phone number, and DTV card number of a valid account --- you can pretty much control that DTV account. Yeah, about 3 minutes is all it would take. Be careful. Just because the owner of the card is a store doesn't change anything. Be very careful (especally if you are grilled by your girlfriends dad on the names of people who work at the store).
A dealer card is just a P4 or P5 card that is shorter than the normal card, so that a needle nose plyers is required to remove the card from the receiver. This prevents it's theft while the receiver is on display in a store. Not sure why anyone would want a card that only gets the previews? Nothing speical about them at all.

That shows you know nothing about anything... You are correct about the shortness of it.. A dealer card allows you access to anything DIRECTV offers my friend. I work there,, I know that much. Sunday ticket... Premium movie channels.. HD stations.. how do you think we sell their HD service?? Customers just gonna believe that HD looks better without seeing it for themselves. Before you post make sure you know what youre talkin about. I'm here to learn not hear a bunch of garbage. If you could have a copy of anything a dealer card would be it.

KL take a trip to your local Circuit City and ask to see their DIRECTV feed on one of their lovely HD Tv's. then i want you to ask them what kind of service they have. ask to see the DTV box and look in the card hole on the box... way down deep in there cuz thats a dealer card youll see... and then enjoy all the great programming you can receive w/ it. Ask to see the premiums and the HD channels and if you go on sunday you can watch any NFL football game you want to because they get sunday ticket for free.. isnt that awesome. YOu just made a moron of yourself. I may not know alot about computer sh*t or anything like that. but one thing i do know is that i dont go postin stuff on message boards that im not 100% positive about which is something you should take into account also... moron! And for anyone else on here thats shaking their head sayin that guy doesnt know what hes talkin about i offer you the same invitation to visit your local CC and see for yourself.

A dealer card gets its ALL...its just short in physical size for anti theft purposes (yes need the pliers to remove it)...but it gets all the channels...BUT again,it CANNOT be copied by any public hack available!

JP, you are amazingly stupid its pathetic. You are almost-certainly not capable of intellgent conversation. Sheer sadness really, JP, to learn that you have no comprehension. Your abuse towards me just goes to show how such an unconstructive individual you truly are. You and your gene pool should be eradicated. I regret having written this follow-up.
