They are in Brooklyn NY, I have heard there are many scammers in this area when it comes to televisions. Anyone have experience with them? |
Perrey Z. Unregistered guest | http://www.resellerratings.com/seller9833.html The first one will "tell" all his buddies how "great" they are... I wonder if the owner will give him/her any discount for writing a fake review to promote their own website on Reseller Ratings???. |
Bronze Member Username: PartyatmariosPost Number: 19 Registered: Jun-05 | perrey Z. thanks for the reseller ratings link. It helped me make a quick and confident decision, no way will I even consider click4tvs.com. I was not aware of this link, I will use it in the future with other resellers. I am still trying to get info. on that Vizio P50HDM, right now it seems that it does not have an orbitor to prevent burn in. As you well know I was originally looking as the Samsung 5052, but the price is not affordable for me and that is what led me to the above reseller. It goes to show, if it sounds to good to be true then it is not true. |
Perrey Z. Unregistered guest | Unfortunately it seems most consumer versions {excluding Samsung and LG} are eliminating all burn-in prevention features from their sets. Only the commercial units have multiple screen saver features. That's one of the main reasons i no longer consider consumer versions. Unless they are Samsung or LG. But when it comes to commercial units between these two brands, LG wins in design and features. The Samsung's Tantus Pro units have a limitation, their DVI inputs are not HDCP compliant. {If they are, it hasn't been confirmed by them yet.} It's a shame, the {Samsung} commercial units are cheaper than the consumer versions, but without this essential feature the sets are worthless. |
Bronze Member Username: PartyatmariosPost Number: 20 Registered: Jun-05 | Perrey Z, can you recommend a 50" plasma commercial under $3000 which has burn in prevention and is HD ready or capable, something along those lines. The samsung is too expensive and the Vizio so far I think has no burn in protection. I am still awaiting an answer from someone perhaps JMR on wheather this is true or not. If there is some type of protection, I would consider the Vizio sale at Costco. I remember you telling me once that the Vizio has an orbitor but is not listed on the specs. |
Perrey Z. Unregistered guest | A 50" Under $3,000.? unlikely. I might have one or two suggestions. Yes i remember telling you the Vizio had a screen orbiter. At first i thought all Vizios had it, because the P42HDe does not make any mention of screen saver features in the specifications sheet and the TV has the feature. 2-weeks ago my local Costco had one sample set on some pallets, but it wasn't hooked up and no stock was available, not even the product's tag. Today i when back and the sample was gone. I'm going back sometime next week and i'll see if they had set it again and post back any findings. I've notice that Costco usually receives the sample first, then 1 or 2-weeks before the sale they get the inventory. |
ATRAX Unregistered guest | I would strongly recommend looking elseware as I am dealing with them currently and it is shaping up to be the worst online buying experience ever! I ordered a receiver 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been shipped after being told several times by customer service that it would ship the next day. I called today and was on hold for an hour with reps constantly picking up the phone and telling me to "please hold" with an immediate click before you have the chance to speak (this has been the usual experience with their customer service). After finally getting to talk to someone she told me that my item was drop shipped to them and they don't why and they have no idea where it is and when I'll get it! Wow, this is something I like to hear. I am moving in a couple weeks was sent an e-mail confirming my order that stated that my item will ship in 24 to 48 hours and now my item is lost and no one knows when I'll get it! So I tell her I would like to cancel my order and she says "ok sir but we'll have to charge you a 7% fee" and I said for what? Restocking something that was never even shipped? Or for the service I haven't received? What is this fee? And she said that it's on the web site that states a 7% cancellation fee which I can't find anywhere. So I am forced to wait for something that they have no idea where it is and when if ever will arrive to me. My advice is to save yourself and pay the couple extra bucks on a company that actually knows what they're doing and stands by their terms. |
