Pioneer PDP-5050HD or the upcoming Elite PRO-1130. Fujitsu gives an sh*t if your set goes bonkers under and after the warranty expire.

With Fujitsu you're only paying premium for the priviledge to have a Hitachi {42"}, Panasonic {50"} or a Samsung {63"} with a Fujitsu badge and of course, the showroom expenses., There's nothing out of the ordinary with their units.

Pioneer in the other hand is widely available, only the Elite series is exclusive to CEDIA member showrooms and when the new units with the 6th. generation panel arrive later in October they'll have a much lower MSRP and better Blacks.
Pioneer offers terrific picture quality, outstanding sound and extensive connections you can't go wrong with them.

Every Pioneer unit is 100% made by Pioneer., Fujitsu no longer owns the joint venture they had with Hitachi, so all their sets are custom made by the panel suppliers in thier own factories.

which one?

Perrey - you continue to amaze me with your knowledge. What do you do for living? You must be in this business. I am researching TVs for few months and still don't know jack sh*t... I have not research Pioneer, but it seems to cost an arm and a leg (that's why I have not considered it).

Architect,

During my free time i read and research a lot of industry publications which have proven to be very helpful.

Acer has more TVs in the U.S.? I'm only aware of their 20" Widescreen LCD monitor, is that what you're reffering to?

Acer and BenQ are the same company. You won't see a full line-up of Acer TVs in the United States, They {Acer} want the BenQ brand to be the promoter for their LCDs in certain regions, the U.S. is one of them.

In the U.K. Acer have 26", 32" and another size, i'm not sure if is smaller than 26" or a 37".
