I recently purchased a Toshiba DLP TV (52HM94) and finally got the CableCard working. I also have a Toshiba DVD recorder with a hard drive. As far as I can tell, there's no way to get a digital cable signal into the DVD recorder, correct? Since the TV doesn't have any methods for digital output, I'm assuming that this can't be done. I'd really love to have a digital signal when I record programs, but I'm thinking that not having a cable box eliminates that possibility. Both my DVD recorder and my TV have HDMI, but that signal only goes in one direction (from the recorder to the TV), right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
