Non copyrighted VHS to DVD

Lei Unregistered guest	Posted on Saturday, July 09, 2005 - 01:38 GMT I am trying to record my home VHS onto DVD with my Sanyo DVD recorder...I get a message that pops up during the recording that says "recording prohibited". I am confused as why that would be with non comercial VHSs....Please help.
