The web even shows sites that describe "Panasonic recently introduced the new DVD-S97 DVD player..." Can't find it in retail stores though. What's up with the that!? |

I think they stopped manufacturing it shortly after its introduction, and Panasonic does not seem to offer a player in this space anymore (single disc with hdmi). Which is a huge dissapointment. I'm forced to buy Sony! |

Panasonic must have pulled it out of distribution? I'm less apt to purchace a discontinued product, especially a previously-owned one. Hopefully, Panasonic will introduce a single disc, HDMI player soon. Sony must be killing them in this space. Thanks David. |
