Smot Unregistered guest | I've got the Fortec Ultra and have been getting good signal to both 110 and 119. I have to set my LNB to "Standard" and turn "On" 22Khz mode. I get about 15 tv and 30 radio channels. Network stuff, picture is sharp though. Is this normal? Is this just because of nagra2? is there a specific frequency range I need to be going to? LNB settings or any of that shiznit? Thanks LK, cause you're pretty much the only one giving straight answers on this board. |

Smot Unregistered guest | which one is the blind scan? Just power scan? When I first goto power scan there is "Sat-46" listed and 0.0 as the location (I put in 110.0W). Goto LNB and change it from Universal 1 to Standard, turn on 22Khz and leave off Disque. Could this have something to do with bad pointed satellite? I installed it myself. When I goto advanced scan though my levels say 85%. But the word LOCK is posted there. And I used your technique for autoroll. So I don't think its the key. Thanks |

I've only got one reciver and the triple LNB dtv satellite. Its got 4 of its own jacks. from reading the satellite booklet you only need to hook into one of the 4 connectors on the LNB piece to hook up to all of them, kind of taking the place of the disque switch. Am I right in this assumption or do I need to run more cable? |

LK Unregistered guest | Another Way To Aim A Simple Dish -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the picture comes on you're aimed at the sat you want, nothing else. Any bin will work including factory bins. No fiddling with transponders. No keys needed. You do need a channel list. Download a dish pointer... These channels are free, no encryption. SAT ECHO 7 119° CHANNELS: NASA on 213, Angel on 262, Order on 501 SAT ECHO 6.8 110° CHANNELS: PPV guide on 103, 500, Gol TV 407, 853 Preparation: Do this part whenever you need to. Hook the cable from the lnb to the receiver, no switch. Push the sat button and push OK on the sat you want. Tune to one of the channels listed above for that sat. Turn up the sound on tv and stb if you can't see the tv. Plumb the post so it is perfectly vertical. Mount the dish on the post. Set the elevation for the sat you chose in preparation. Loosen the clamp enough so it can be turned easily. With a compass set the azimuth near as you can. Make a mark down the clamp and onto the post, this is for reference. The standard post for the smaller dishes is 40mm diameter. One eighth inch rotation on the post equals about 9.1 degrees. Start by turning the dish left about 1/8 inch or more. Panning... Turn the dish SLOWLY to the right as small amount as you can. Pause after each move. If the elevation is correct, eventually you'll hear the sound or see the picture. If it doesn't come in you may have to start farther to the left. You might have to change the elevation up or down a bit and go back to panning. When you get the picture, tweak the dish left/right and up/down for highest quality. Tighten the clamp bolts. Look on lyngsat.com for free channels on other sats, but sometimes channels are moved to other transponders and lyngsat isn't always up to date. Echo 3 61.5° Promo channel 580 |

me myself and I Unregistered guest | fortec star or possibly pansat?: you must delete the old autoroll bin before entering the keys do a factory default in the system setup menu. then enter the keys the code to enter the keys is 1010. the default password to the factory default is 0000. after you default the system you will have to re-upload the channel list or do a scan for tp and channels (if you don't have a channel list)ie,power scan. |
