Hi. I am looking at buying a DVR/DVD (probably a Sony RDR-HX900) and am resigned to the fact that their EPG doesn't work well with Comcast channels over 100...My primary objective is dubbing 20 years of VHS Video8 and DVT onto DVD. If I need to record a TV show, I can do that manually.
However I would like to find out if anyone knows anything on the horizon that would make me change my mind, like a DVR/DVD that works with Comcast. (I don't want to pay Tivo $200 and I dont want a Comcast box without DVD Record capabilities.)
Any Ideas?
Also: Someone asked whether you could copy macrovision encoded DVDs to the hard drive...or to ther dvd writer. I assume this is a big no, the only way being hooking up two DVDs in line with a "stabilizer" in between, or from a PC using DVD95 or similar software. Correct?
