I recently purchased a 42" akai RPTV and guess what. I messed up the geometry somehow. I got into the convergence menu and I think that I selected the #2 factory defaults and then hit the wrong button to exit the menu and it accidentally saved the settings. So I have been messing with it and have the convergence and geometry set so that the tv is watchable. The convergence is fine, but the geometry is off on the tv. There are spots where the picture is warped.
Is there a way that I can punch in some numbers or soemthing to reset the convergence back to what it was? I purchased a 4 year service warranty with my tv. Would this cover something like this? I contacted an ISF calibrator in my area but it is a lot more money than I can spend to have the TV calibrated. I'm just wondering what my options are. Any help would be appreciated.
