I am thinking about getting a newer tv, as I have a 2 year old RCA 36in standard tube tv and I would like to get a 30in or larger LCD or Plasma tv. I want either a LCD or Plasma tv because I watch alot of movies(dvd) and since they are widescreen and both seem to have a great picture quality, so I can't decide and I need to know which either a LCD or a Plasma tv would be best for watching movies(dvd)? Please let me know.
Thanks,

Joe,
Go with an LCD, the prices will be coming down starting in August. I own a plasma and a LCD and i preffer the LCD over the plasma, too much care and personally once you see burn-in like in my case, you become dissapointed in the technology.
With LCDs, there's no burn-in issues so you can watch movies and play video games for long hours without worrying about burn-in from the black bars or score boxes., another factor is they are cooler {in temperature} than some plasmas.
JVC and Samsung have 40" LCDs with very good prices check; http://www.vanns.com/ for the latest prices.
