My local costco has the Toshiba D-KR4, but I cannot find any real reviews for this unit. Is it the same as another model, but branded for costco? Anyone have any feedback on this recorder? I'm wondering how it compares to the Panasonic E10S.
Thanks.

Got Toshiba D-KR4 from Costco and Panasonic E10S from Circuit City. Both performed almost same. E10S boots up and can go to record mode faster than KR4. But KR4 have 5-minute Auto-Chapter divide not available in E10S. I finalized my KR4 hook-up. Sound is great using TosLink optic cable for 5.1 DTS/Dolby with Harman Kardon 335 Receiver. I returned E10S.
If you plan to use DVD RAM, use only Panasonic brand. Memorex DVD-RAM failed. Tried several brands of DVD-R and all worked OK. Output copies run on all of the machines I tried it on (PC DVD, Sony DVD Player, Panasonic DVD Plaver). KR4 is also compatible with cartridge type DVD-RAM (Type 1,2 and 4).
