I am having a audio problem when hooking the dvi to hdmi on my jvc hd-61z886. there is a break up in the audio coming into my tv. It is had to explain. I have talked with dish network and jvc. They do not know what the problem is. Can someone help me.

DVI doesn't carry audio. HDMI can, but I don't know anyone using it. The best sound you can get from the tv speakers is stereo or SRS, therefore RCA hook-ups are as good as anything, really.
I reccommend using the digital coax or optical output on the Dish receiver to a surround sound receiver. They aren't that expensive anymore. The 5 channel SS audio will change your viewing experience completely.
