Jetson Unregistered guest | http://www.scientificatlanta.com/explorerclub/default.asp For all the people who have had questions or trouble about why they can't view HD in all the formats that are "viewable" on their T.V., and use the Scientific Atlanta STB, I have posted a link above that will allow you to view the Set Up Wizard in a .pdf format. Note: Not available for the 3100HD. It is free to join the club (mostly so they can send you junk e-mail), and the wizard is very user friendly. For best results use the "advanced" set up, so you can pre-select the options you want your T.V. to display. (i.e. 720P only; 1080i only; 720P,1080i, and 480P, etc.) You will know it is working when you get a breif flicker between channel surfing from HD to Non-Hd and vice versa. The resolution (1080i, 720P, 480P, etc) will be displayed in the bottom corner of your t.v. screen. I have my t.v. set up to display 1080i and 480P, since my t.v does not display 720P, and it converts all 480i signals to 480P, and comcast digital cable is already in 480P. Good Luck! |
