Hi, I would be grateful for any help.

I have a Toshiba SD240e DVD, and a panasonic 32 inch crt tv, both with component video inputs. The picture is great, but there is no sound. Does anyone know what i am doing wrong? There are only 2 sound options on the DVD player, and i have tried both. I have connected some old audio (3 leads, not 2) cables to both the TV and DVD.

You need to connect audio cables along with the triple component cables. Also you should be using video cables for the component connections. Some audio cables are 55 ohm, component cables should be 75 ohm.

Hi. Thanks for your help.

I did connect video cables, in fact i went out and bought 2 RCA to 2 RCA Monster cable leads, but there still isn't any sound. I have even tried to connect each cable the other way round, just in case there should be a particular flow path.

By the way, sound and vision work fine with SCART. Any further ideas? Thanks again.
