Nagra2 is a new encryption that is being implemented by Bell ExpressVu and Nagravision and Dishnetwork. The main goal of the new encryption is to eliminate or reduce theft of the Bell ExpressVu and Dishnet satellite television service.
Will my Atmega / Avr / MagicCard / Emu / NeoCam / etc. work with the new Nagra2 stream?
No current testing devices will work once Nagra2 is fully implemented. They may work at some time in the future if Nagra2 is compromised.
Can we program the new cards?
There is no publicly known way to program the new cards (see pic below) at this time.
What about FTA receivers?
Free to air receivers will no longer decrypt Bell ExpressVu channels or Dishnet once the conversion to Nagra2 is complete. Card sharing, like done in Europe, may be a possible with some models.
Isn't Nagra2 hacked in Europe?
The Nagravision encryption used in Europe is similar, but not the same as what Bell ExpressVu is using in North America. At this time, there is no true public hack of Nagra2 in Europe.
When will a hack be available?

Why am I getting error 358 on my screen?
Error 358 screens are there notify you that the channel you are tuned to will be switching over to the new encryption by date the pop up provides. After that date, you will no longer be able to watch that channel without a new card and a subscription.
Why are some channels black screen / bad or scrambled channel?
These are channels that have already switched over to the new Nagra2 encryption. HDTV, Nascar, and Venus,were among the first to go.
What can I do to keep watching tv?
Most agree that we have one to several months before any mainstream channels will be converted to Nagra2. Enjoy your television while you have it. If you must have a channel that has been converted, you will need to subscribe
