Just received my Sony LCD xs955 60" set and the picture is great. However, when a banner comes across the top of the set either the score of a game or letterbox the top of the tv appears to be uneven. Has anyone seen this? The bottom is fine.

I have the 55xs955 and haven't noticed any uneveness on top or bottom. If you bought from Best Buy, they will send someone out within 48 hours. Otherwise, try Sony.
By the way, is the noise from the fan on your unit fairly noticeable? My fan is about as load as my refrigerator when it's running.

The fan noise is noticable when not in surround sound. It is something that bothered me at first,now no big deal since we watch mostly with the surround receiver on.

Does anybody have any service menu codes for this television and any idea what are some good settings in this menu. I don't want to pay an ISF tech to do my tv and I can't find anybody selling the service manual.
