has anybody made a dishnetwork dish with twin lnb's work with a fortec lifetime ultra because i've tried a ton of things and can't get it to work. i have a dishnetwork dish with twin lnb's and the reciever and one wire runs from the dish to to a switch that seperates the two satellites and then goes to the box sat 1 and sat 2. i've loaded dido smith dish pro list and hook it up to my fortec and it works perfect and then i get a no signal, any help would be appreciated, thanx.

If its a Dish Pro (DP on LNB's) dish then U need a dish pro channel list...or just do a sat scan..

First try rebooting the IRD..(BACK of receiver ,Power OFF,wait 1 min,Power ON)

If your lnb's are in one housing they won't work with fta's. they need to be single ones with no sw 21 switch.

hemiboy you need to use a SW34 Disqe switch and it will work. LK you are correct, but it wasn't always that way.

its always been that way...things never changed..people just mistakenly thought the single line with fatboy DP LNB would not work...that incorrect rumor was floating around a long time ago..

Most don't know that U can use a DTV phase3 oval triple LNB dish too..

thanks for the tip LK, from what I've read peeps said they've tried it and it doesn't work...thought it had something to do with incorrect voltage to the switch....ya learn something everyday.

LK a fatboy lnb will not get more than 1 sat on fta's because of the built in switches. If you know how to get 2 sats useing fatboy then let know. I sure use the know how.

Do not use an exterior switch or buy the adapter

If you don't use a 4in 1 switch how do you get 2 sat to the unit then?? And if you do use fatboy lnb's that's 2 sats on 1 coax to the 4 in 1 switch and it won't work! If you run the coax from fb to unit it will only get 1 sat.

A Dish Pro lnb(dual) aka fatboy which has the 110 and 119 aligned sends a signal through the same cable because it has a built in diseqc switch. So you should be able to connect directly one cable from lnb to receiver . Set 22khz in antenna setup to 110 ON and 119 to OFF (or vice versa) it doesn't matter. Then you should be able to receive them both at one time. The channels you receive should depend on what channel list you downloaded,or if you just did a satellite scan. The 2nd outlet on this type of lnb is for a 2nd receiver..

Yes that's right. But like i said you only get one sat using fb lnb's. I've have tryed this no matter what list you have on the unit. And yes a dual lnb has 2 outputs for 2 coaxes a single lnb only has 1 output. What the person needs to do is get 2 single or 2 dual lnb's without the built in switch then go to 4 in 1 switch for both sats.
