Hope someone can help. A friend of mine has a 32" Sony LCD TV (I'm not sure of the exact model number but I think its the KDL-L32MRX1) which came with the Sony AV switching box (with the scart, s-video, phono and VGA inputs). However, he has since bought a Microsoft Media Centre 2005 PC which has S-Video, VGA and DVI outputs. S-Video works, but isn't great. We can't get VGA to work at all through the VGA port on the switching box, and I can't see any way of connecting the DVI (which I assume would be the best one to use). On the back of the TV it has what looks like a DVI connector, and one labelled BLACK. If I plug the DVI cable from the PC into the TV directly we get nothing.
Can anyone tell me if it is at all possible to connect anything DIRECTLY to the TV or does it have to go through the AV box, thus limiting us to the connections it has?
It would seem silly to have a £4000 TV with such poor connectivity!!
Any help would be great as we find any fast moving video blurs more than when watched via a set top box.
