I am shopping for a new TV (first time in 18 years). I'm looking at the Toshiba HX Cinema Series rear projection sets. I've seen some good prices on the net for "refurbished" or so called "re-manufactured" TVs. I'm very tech savvy about computers, but don't know much about television technology.
Can anyone advise me as to whether the Toshiba is a viable candidate as my next TV? What about size? I've been considering the 43" or 50". Are refurbished TVs worth considering? How is the sound on the rear projection TVs? How about Toshiba's picture quality?
I currently have Digital Cable service piped through an 18-year-old NEC 27" stereo monitor with a failing picture.
I'd appreciate any input from you videophile pros out there.
