I'm brand new to the HD world. Just got the Panny TC-26LX20 a week ago. Moving into a new house in 3 weeks. At that point I'll have the Panny hooked up to a Comcast HD-DVR. I have a Sony Progressive Scan DVD hooked up to it via Component cables and a PS2 via Monster component cables. I'd like to hear from anyone with advice in optimizing this set-up in my new house. Also, I'm going to get a much bigger set for another room and set up a more robust home theatre. I'd love to hear suggestions for a display and for a home theatre system. Or should I wait for the BluRay/HD DVD to come out? Budget around 7k. Thanks!!
Well, I've had 'home theatre' for years. Sometimes it's SOTA, some time it isn't. That is, I go as long as I can before upgrading, then I upgrade, then I go as long as I can before upgrading again, then I upgrade again - and so it goes...
So, my suggestion would be to wait as long as you can stand it...
Having said that, I'm a big proponent of LCD displays (panels or projection) and 'component' cables, so I wouldn't change a thing...
