I have an upscaling Panasonic S97 playing to a Sharp 45 inch LCD receiver. I get crisp 1080-looking playback from some CD's and others show a grainier picture. Is there a difference in how content is placed on the DVD? I guess I need a tutorial. Is there a way to tell which CD's will have the better picture?
Some just look better than others. It mostly depends on how good the source was, if the quality of the original film was poor then the DVD will look worse than one where the quality was good.
