I bought SONY TV with model number KF42WE610 10 months ago. In ten months I already have two burned lamps and one burned ballst unit.
The warranty will be running out pretty soon. I complained to Sony on-line support and it seems going nowhere.
Does any one know where can I send my regular mail complain to SONY instead of complaining on-line?
I could not find it in any Sony Web site.
Thanks.

complain to your local attorney general, they usally rule the consumer protection division in each state.
I would definitely make noise about this with my local consumer protection office.
this is unacceptable ,I have been engineering a/v equipment for along time and will tell you that at the very least most responsible manufactuers will extend the warranty if they do not agree to replace the product.
shame on sony.
I hate to hear about people getting hosed like this,...good luck and don't shut up .
EXSPOSE THEM ,.. CALL THEM AND TELL THEM YOUR GOING TO CALL YOUR LOCAL CPD(CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION) AND LOCAL ATTORNEY GENERAL.
good luck put up a fight and next time buy a hitachi,I deal with them and have always admired their first class customer service.
I would push SONY for a repleacement. I have just ordered a KDF-55WF655 and hope that the bugs have been worked out in the "WF" models. This seems to be the case based on the posts I have read. At a minimum you should demand an extended warranty from them - If you don't get satisfaction you may want to consider purchasing the EW before your warranty expires - not a great option but better than nothing.

Lucent,
what's the latest news with sony? the problem with replacement with that particular model is that .
is has known issue's of being unreliable and also has several engineering flaws so the relacement would only give you a new set with the same issues.
If they will not upgrade it tell them you want a sony credit for another product, they will do it if you muscle them around and dont cave.
by all means if a replacement of the same set is all they offer take it,but make it your last option.
