LCD Unregistered guest | This site offers excellent comparison of rear projection LCD and DLP televisions. CHECK IT OUT! http://www.dlptvreview.com/dlptv/dlptelevision.html I would love to hear some responses/thoughts too. I have recently purchased a Panasonic 50LC14. I'm really happy with it. |
DLP4me! Unregistered guest | LCD's link looks more like a commercial for LCD than a comparison! It's not even apples to apples since it compares a 50 inch DLP to a 22 inch LCD with some lame excuses for doing so. What's wrong with comparing a 46 inch DLP to a 40 inch LCD. The idea that LCD color is better than DLP color is completely subjective. The statement that both have an average 70,000 hour life is ridiculous and false. However, the statement that LCD will fade over time and DLP will remain unchanged is accurate. The DLP DMD chip doesn't even have a life cycle yet. It has a projected duration of over 30 years, but may actually perform beyond that. Here are two links to ad to the war! http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0%2C1558%2C1049289%2C00.asp?kc=ETNKT0209KTX1 http://www.dlp.com/dlp_technology/images/dynamic/white_papers/153_Reliability_pa per.pdf |
Hnery CA Unregistered guest | I read that site long time ago. The comparison is NOT about LCD RP! The LCD TV at 40 in costs how much? Read your posting every where, LCD, you remind me of W. |

Forget the sets used and focus on the pros and cons of each technology. I think it's pretty accurate. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1734380,00.asp |
