Just wanted to let you all know that I picked up a pioneer dvr-220 (refurbished - $240 Cndn) and it will record on 4 types of media so far - 2 no name brands and 2 name brands... Recording is simple and I've made about 75 copies in the month I've owned it...
It has 3 inputs (2 are S-video) so one is my Norcent DP-300 (golden with no macrovision - off by menu) and the other is my Dishnetwork feed (s-video as well)...
Just thought I'd say I'd recommend this recorder to ANYONE who wants quality, speed and da.mn nice dvd's....
