Unlock Panasonic DVD-RV60 for playing cd-r/dvd-r and other?

Does anyone have any info on how I can unlock/make my Panasonic DVD-RV60 player, play cd-r,cd-rw,dvd-r and other non original discs? I would think it was a firmware or something similar. My player is modified so it takes all regions.
