Thank you for having me on you forum first off. I just bought a 42 plasma with HD built in made by LG. Its a great TV. I bought all of the Monster Cables and the Monster PowerBar surge strip. In addition I have a Bose 3-2-1 surround system (mutli-system) and a Samsung HD DirectTV reciever. I have it hooked up like this: Component cables from the Bose to the TV Component (Bose does not have a DVI hook-up). I have an Optical 200 speed cable from the bose to the DTV reciever for audio. For regular TV watching I have DVI cable from the DTV reciever to the TV's DVI. Now for the Question! On the vidio imput on the TV the only mode that I get a picture (its a great picture) is in Video1. The DVI mode just says "no signal" on the screen. Yet the DTV reciever's DVI and Component is lit up. When I watch a DVD on the Bose system the TV must by on Component1 which is correct. Being that the only video hook up from the reciever to the TV is the DVI does it mean the DVI is working right even if the TV mode is on Video1? Thank you for you time and advice.
