Big snowstorm over Christmas weekend in Northeast. However Comcast hi def signal was crystal clear. The day of the local dish farms that cable companie used to have (in each town) are apparently gone, now that digital cable can be fed from distant locations on wide pipe fiber lines, minimizing giant C- band reception. In other words there is not much to interfere with that signal in terms of weather anymore
Nothing like seeing broadcast crystal clear HI DEF TV on a 92 inch widescreen in a blinding snowstorm w/o one hint of interference
I would love to eventually add VOOM satellite too, but I am not sure if it could accomplish that feat
