Hi, we just got a PV-GS120 Panasonic mini-camcorder, and trying to transfer the video we took to our computer and possibly burn it to a CD. We have the USB cable that came with it, but it's not working out. What are we doing wrong? Do we need a firewire cable, or card or some kind of software? Please help. Thanks.

Use the setup software provided; your operating system in the computer must first recognise the digital camera as a hardware for you to start capturing;
Actually, I don't think you can pull the video from the camera through the USB port. That's usually for the still images you take. The video is accessed through the DV port, so yes, you need a firewire card. However, you mention CD so if you're trying to pull the still images, then that should be possible through USB.
