Will the picture still look good, or will it be 'smudgy'? I plan to get the Samsung 46" HLP4663 DLP and hook it up to regular satellite (not HD) using an S-video cable. I won't get HD for a while since the channels here in Canada pretty much suck right now. Thank you
The reason I ask is because I went to Best Buy plugged in a DVD player on a Samsung DLP (46") and Panasonic LCD rear projo (43") using X-Men movie for my test. Then used component and S-Video and found that it looked better on the LCD projo. However, after that I tested a HD samsung DVD player (upconverting) using a DVI cable and found it looked better on a DLP. Conclusion: LCD Rear is better for analog signal; DLP is better for HD. Does anyone agree with me? Does anyone experience a smudgy picture on a DLP using regular satellite?
(Pls note: I used DVD (progressive scan) instead of satellite which is interlaced, possibly satellite will be more smudgier, I fear that) PLS LEAVE FEEDBACK!!!
