Anonymous | I, Like i'm sure a lot of people are at a loss. First off, is DVD-A going to be part of movie soundtracks as well as music cd's????? |
Anonymous | no-dvd-a is only music and some video content(pics etc.)-dvd-a is only music format--it will never be on movies-but i am confused as to whether dts 96/24 could ever be on movies--i don't think so because presumably like dvd-a there is not enough room left on for the movie(dolby digital is highly compressed enabling it to fit on a dvd movie-dvd-a and dts 96/24 are the opposite-fitting 24 bits of sound vs dd about 2-5 bits(I think). |

DTS 5.1 audio files are still about twice the size of Dolby Digital AC-3 files with the same content. If you would like more info I made post on May 05 on https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-audio/21154.html where there are also some links to DTS, Dolby, and about DVD-Audio. |
