We play our surround DVD's through separate Crown power amps, not a surround receiver. Consequently, we need a DVD player with surround decoder and 6 discrete surround pre-amp outputs.
At least some DVD players (Go Video) have remotes whose volume controls do not control the 6 surround pre-amp outs.
Can anyone tell us whether it's normal for the DVD remote to not control the analog surround outs?
We are about to replace a Go Video player which finally died completely (after working poorly from day one). This time we really want to make sure we get one with a remote that controls the analog surround outs. We've found absolutely no info on this issue on any manufacturer's web sites.
Any help or additional perspective would be greatly appreciated.
